Salary:
£30-£45k per annum

We are looking for a Motion Designer to join our team. You’ll be tasked with a range of animation and motion design tasks to elevate a range of video and stills content and much of this work revolves around the following: animating type, adding character to graphic elements and crafting unique visual transitions and effects. You’ll mostly be working in After Effects, but we’ll support your development across other tools and areas like 3D. Our preference is to find an early-career designer, but we are open to midweight level applicants too.

You’ll be expected to:

  • Develop mood boards and find relevant motion design references that add character, personality and emotion to our work
  • Draw upon new and unexpected places to find these references
  • Take concepts and styleframes from the creative team and bring them to life in video, through exploration and experimentation
  • Produce compelling presentations for clients to sell in your work
  • Source interesting stock footage and imagery from a range of sources
  • Animate type to an obsessive degree
  • Bring all the above together to design final video assets, using a range of techniques and skills to produce work that stands out and resonates

Requirements

  • You’ll be expected to have a high degree of knowledge of:
    • After Effects
    • Illustrator
    • Photoshop
    • InDesign
  • You’ll need a strong understanding of typography
    • How to work with type
    • Layout
    • Principles of animated typography
  • Bonus skills include:
    • Working with a range of plug-ins such as Cavalry and Newton
    • Colour grading (in Premiere or DaVinci)
  • You need to be a team player:
    • We have very fluid roles and responsibilities so you’ll need to be able to, and enjoy, working with a range of different people
